OBS chat overlay
LiveEcho shows TikTok, Twitch and Kick chat on your stream as a transparent overlay. You add it in OBS as a normal browser source.
The LiveEcho interface is in Polish, so button names are given in Polish with English in brackets.
Step by step
- Connect LiveEcho to your chat (TikTok, Twitch or Kick) and click Włącz nakładkę (turn on overlay).
- Click “Kopiuj link” (copy link). The address looks like
http://127.0.0.1:8777/. It only works on your own PC. - Add a source in OBS. Click plus in your scene, choose Browser and paste the address into the URL field.
- Set the size, for example 500 x 800 for chat at the side, and move it where you want it. The background is transparent.
Streamlabs and XSplit work the same way: add a browser or web page source and paste the same address.
Other overlays
The same local server also powers end credits (viewers, subs, followers and gifts at the end of the stream) and a social media widget. Each has its own “Kopiuj link” button in the app.
Common problems
The OBS source is empty
Check that the overlay is turned on in LiveEcho and the app is connected to chat. Messages appear once someone writes something.
“Cannot open port”
Another program is using port 8777. Change the port in LiveEcho settings and copy the new link.
